3-7-13  SAINT JAMES 3, Montgomery Academy 1

In their seventh match of the season, the Saint James Trojans Varsity Boys defeated the Montgomery Academy Eagles 3 - 1 at Carlisle Field on a cool Tuesday evening.  Ben Olree, with an assist from Coleman Taylor, scored the only goal of the first half for Saint James in the 31st minute of what was turning into a defensive battle, leaving the Trojans ahead by one goal at the end of the first half.

Again Saint James returned to start the second half with aggressive play and Tristan Elmore scored in the 9th minute (49th overall) with a beautiful arching shot from outside the box on the right side of the goal giving the Trojans a 2 - 0 lead.  Ted Park for Montgomery Academy scored 14 minutes later cutting the Saint James lead in half, but the Trojan defense held the rest of the match not allowing Montgomery Academy another score.  Coleman Taylor finished the game with a dramatic third goal in the final 15 seconds of the match.  Keeper Dashaun Lewis had a good match with saves on seven of Montgomery Academy's eight shots.

Saint James had five shots on goal for the evening and three corner kicks while the Eagles earned four corner kicks.

Coleman Adams and Tristan Elmore shared "Man of the Match" honors.
