For the third consecutive week Saint James earned the first possession of the game, but this time it was because Handley won the toss and deferred their choice to the second half.   Benton Offord started off the game with a nice kickoff return to the Trojan 42.  However, three plays netted a loss of three yards and the Trojans immediately punted.  Handley began an 11 play drive which would cover 68 yards.  A desperation pass leading to a pass interference penalty kep the drive alive, and five plays later on fourth down from the Trojan 25, Cordan Patterson lifed a pass to Elijah Stegall, who had raced past his defender, for a 25 yard touchdown.  Unlike in past weeks where Trojan opponents were having difficulties converting extra points, Dylan Hunt would not miss an extra point on the evening, and the Tigers had a  7 - 0 lead midway through the first quarter.

The Trojans converted one first down on a Grant Phillips run, but were forced again to punt.  Handley was pinned back at their own 14 yard line, and used up the remainder of the quarter moving forward but had to punt themselves pushing Saint James back to its own 8 yard line.  On third down from the 12, Mason Craig was rushed and blindsided while preparing to pass.  The ball skittered loose and was picked up by Ridge Nelson who had an easy five yard carry into the endzone for a touchdown and the lead had doubled to 14 - 0.

After an out of bounds kickoff, a face mask penalty prevented another sack and loss of yardage.  The Trojans drove as far as the Tiger 37 when a Craig pass was intercepted by JaMarcus Daniel.  He returned the ball 70 yards for what would have been a touchdown, but a holding penalty fortunately negated most of the return.  The Saint James defense forced a three and out, but on the third scrimmage play a fumble gave the ball back to the TIgers at the Saint James 15.  A 12 yard pass from Patterson to Daniel moved the ball down inside the 1 yard line, and on the next play Patterson carried in for a touchdown and a 21 - 0 lead with still time remaining before halftime.

Saint James was forced to punt again and a good return by Stegall gave Handley the ball at the Saint James 45.  Consecutive runs of 12 and 16 yards by Ladarrious Tucker and another 16 yarder by Daniel quickly again had the ball on the one yard line.  Patterson was stuffed on first down, but Tucker took the second down handoff off left end for the third score of the quarter and with less than 10 seconds remaining, Handley took a 28 - 0 lead into halftime.

It took only one play for the lead to grow as Daniel fielded the second half kickoff at the 7 yard line and raced virtually untouched down the far sidelines to the endzone for a 93 yard kickoff return and a 35 - 0 Tiger lead.

Saint James would only run four scrimmage plays in a thankfully quickly moving third quarter.  Handley used most of the third quarter to drive as close as the 9 yard line.  A field goal attempt was wide left, but a roughing the kicker penalty gave Handley a first down.  However, the Trojan defense held again and a second field goal attempt was blocked by Luke Catchings - one of the few highlights of the game.

In the fourth quarter, both teams substituted literally.  Freshman Martez Thomas broke away a 47 yard run with approximately 3 minutes to go into the game for what would eventually build up to the final score of 42 - 0.

The Trojans would return home for Homecoming 2025 against a first time Carlisle Field opponent, the Talladega Tigers, and hopefully erase that zero in the wins column for the season.
