The undefeated Holtville Bulldogs, ranked # 4 in 3A, welcomed the 2A Trojans to their Homecoming and were treated rudely, as the Bulldogs broke open a close game with three second quarter touchdowns as they defeated the injury-battered Trojans 33 - 0.

Holtville moved swiftly on their initial drive, with Brandon Scott picking up the first score on a 41 yard touchdown run.  Tommy Bolton converted the first of his three extra points.  John Adams scored early in the second quarter on a 7 yard touchdown run.  After a turnover, Holtville added a score on a 45 yard pass from Kevin Cox to Orlando Ezell, their only pass completion of the evening.  Just before the end of the half, Adams scored again, this time on a 63 yard punt return, and the Bulldogs had a comfortable 26 point lead.

A Will Webber halfback pass was intercepted by Holtville's Johnny Brown and returned 65 yards to the Trojan 7, where Cox scored on the next play midway through the third quarter before the Bulldog substitutes played the remainder of the game.

The Trojans were outrushed 149 - 112 in the game, and outpassed 45 - 6.  St. James threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles, while only benefitting from one Holtville turnover.
