SCORING SUMMARY:

G W  (2)   9:00    Payne 1 run                                              (Cullifer kick)        0 - 7

Highlights:  In a game where defenses dominated and turnovers proved costly, it was one of St. James' four lost fumbles which led to the only score of the game, a one yard run by Rebel David Payne early in the second quarter.  St. James had a depth advantage in the number of players, but unusually cool weather for late August helped keep the G.W. Long players fresh enough to hold off both Trojan starters and reserves as the Trojans' first Varsity Football trip to Skipperville was unkind.
