Highlights:  The Trojans, although sometimes appearing sluggish against an enormously outmanned (15 on the roster at the conclusion of their season) Eagle team, pulled away with four fourth quarter touchdowns, the final scored by sophomore Coleman Brewster, as St. James clinched the runner-up  spot in 1A Area 9 and a second consecutive trip to the state playoffs with a 48-0 shutout of Alabama Christian.

Johnny Redding, who played sparingly with a slightly sprained ankle, was held to 69 yards on 9 carries.  Other Trojans rushed for 189 yards, with the Eagles only netting 14 rushing yards.  Just after Jeff Stevenson's touchdown pass to Jody Ortega late in the first quarter, Charles Sylvest returned an interception from midfield as time expired in the first quarter to set the Trojans on their way.

ACA also lost 6 of its 7 fumbles and threw two interceptions to hurt their cause.
