Manley Swearingen scored two touchdowns, the second in overtime, and rushed for 117 yards as Saint James won its opening game of 1979 over the Lowndes County Red Devils.  The Trojan defense held Lowndes County scoreless after Swearingen's overtime touchdown to preserve the victory.
