Highlights: As the Fort Deposit punter was injured during
the game, on a fourth down at their
own 20 midway
through the fourth quarter, Fort Deposit opted for the safety.
After the ensuing free kick, the Trojans drove down
for the winning touchdown pass from Robert Kelly to Freddie Brown
(thanks for the clarification)
with only 30
seconds remaining. Fort Deposit
ran the first play from scrimmage 72 yards for an apparent
touchdown which was
called back on a penalty. They did
score later in the quarter, but failed to threaten afterwards.

Highlights: Three year
starting MA quarterback Alan Bollinger was on the sidelines, but Bruce
Hill took over and
performed well enough to lead the Eagles to a shutout win in St.
James' home opener. The Trojans committed 6
turnovers (4 interceptions, 2 fumbles), including an interception
in the Eagle end zone
just after the second touchdown
had been scored. Many Trojan supporters were not pleased
with the field goal attempt just before the end of the
game which may have been viewed as an attempt to run up the score
after the previous year's thumping of the Eagles.

Highlights: Sandy
Andrews' interception and return to the Eagle 35 with 9 minutes
remaining
in the game set up the Trojans
in
a come-from-behind victory reminiscent of their opening game heroics.
On
the first play of the drive, Bruce May rushed
for
30 yards, and three plays later, Robert Kelly snuck in from the 2 to
give
the Trojans the win. May led a balanced rushing
attack
with 83 yards on 18 carries. Kelly added 52 yards on 6 carries,
and
freshman Mike Beavers, up with the varsity team
for
the second week, added 44 yards on 6 carries. The Trojan defense
recovered
two Eagle fumbles in the last 6 minutes of
the
game to preserve the win against their inner-city rival and conclude
the
season at ".500".
