ST. JAMES VARSITY SPORTS ALIGNMENTS



ST. JAMES remains in classification 4A during school years 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 as designated in November 2009 by the AHSAA.
 For complete alignments of all schools in classifications 1A to 6A, check the individual sports located at the ahsaa.com website.


Below are the teams which will be aligned with the Trojans in the various varsity sports.
Junior Varsity and Middle School teams primarily compete against other Capital City Conference foes.
These alignments are, as always, subject to change at any time by the AHSAA.

FOOTBALL

  (Fall 2010 and 2011) St. James will again participate in 4A Region 2 in 2010 and 2011.
Alabama Christian, Ashford, and Bullock County will return in the same region.
Andalusia and Hillcrest-Evergreen will move to Region 2 from 4A Region 1.
Headland and Straughn will both advance from class 3A to class 4A and join Region 2.
Catholic and Opp are dropping to class 3A; Elmore County and Holtville are joining class 4A Region 3.

The 2010 Football schedules are now available at Football 2010.



  BASKETBALL

(Winter 2010-11/2011-12)  
ST. JAMES remains in 4A Area 2 with Brewbaker Tech and Bullock County.
Alabama Christian moves to Area 2, and B.T. Washington Magnet moves up from class 3A to join 4A Area 2.

The 2010-11 Varsity Basketball Schedules are now available at Basketball 2010-11.


     BASEBALL    
 
(Spring 2011 and 2012)  ST. JAMES joins 4A Area 4 with Alabama Christian, BTW-Magnet, Brewbaker Tech, and Bullock County.

The 2010 Baseball season is complete and information is now available at Baseball 2010.


CHEERLEADING

   The 2010 Fall Cheerleading squads are listed at Cheerleaders.


 
     CROSS COUNTRY    

(Fall 2010 and 2011)  ST. JAMES is in 4A Section 2
with Alabama Christian, Beauregard, Dadeville, Holtville, W.S. Neal, B.C. Rain, and UMS-Wright


The 2010 Cross Country Schedule will be available soon.



GOLF

(Spring 2011 and 2012)  Sections have not been released yet by the AHSAA.

The 2010 Golf Season is complete and information is available at Golf 2010.


     SOCCER    

(Spring 2011 and 2012)  ST. JAMES remains in 1A-4A Section 2 for both boys and girls.  Other teams in this section are:
Alabama Christian, Brewbaker Tech, Catholic, LAMP, Montgomery Academy, and Trinity.
Alabama Christian will not have a girls team in 2011.

The 2010 Soccer season is complete and information is available at Soccer 2010.
 


     SOFTBALL    

(Spring 2011 and 2012)  ST. JAMES joins 4A Area 4 with Alabama Christian, BTW-Magnet, Brewbaker Tech, and Bullock County.

The 2010 Softball Season is underway and information is available at Softball 2010.


SWIMMING

The 2010 State Swimming and Diving Tournament will be held in Pelham in October.

Results of the 2009 State Swimming and Diving Tournament are now available at Swimming 2009.


TENNIS

(Spring 2011 and 2012)  Sections have not been released yet by the AHSAA.

The 2010 Tennis Season is complete and information is available at Tennis 2010.


TRACK and FIELD

(Spring 2011 and 2012)  Sections have not been released yet by the AHSAA.

The 2010 Outdoor Track season is complete and information is available at Track 2010.


VOLLEYBALL

(Fall 2010 and 2011)  ST. JAMES moves to 4A Area 4.
Joining the Trojans will be Alabama Christian, BTW-Magnet, and Brewbaker Tech.

The 2010 Volleyball Schedule is partially available at Volleyball 2010.



     WRESTLING    

(Fall 2010 and 2011)  ST. JAMES remains in 1A-4A Section 1.
Joining the Trojans will be Alabama School for the Blind, Ashville, Catholic-Montgomery, Cleburne County, Elmore County,
Holtville, Lincoln, Marbury,Piedmont, Ranburne, Saks, Walter Wellborn, and Weaver.

The 2010-2011 Wrestling Schedule will be available in November.
